I am the pastor and cofounder of In God's Hands Ministries. I am also a personal trainer, nutrition coach and Christian author.

Obedience isn't about perfection. It's about position. It's keeping your heart turned toward God, one step at a time. If you're learning to walk this out, here are 5 keys that have helped me. 1. Know the Word. You can't obey what you don't know. Open your Bible every day and let His voice become the loudest one in your life. "Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path." (Psalm 119:105) 2. Respond to the Holy Spirit quickly. Delayed obedience is still disobedience. When God speaks to your heart, whether through conviction, through the Word, or through that small still voice, move on it. Don't wait for a more convenient moment. 3. Guard your circle. Whoever speaks the loudest into your life shapes your choices. Surround yourself with people who pull you toward God, not away from Him. "Do not be deceived: Evil company corrupts good habits." (1 Corinthians 15:33) 4. Obey in the small things. Faithfulness in the unseen prepares you for the assignment ahead. God tests us in private before He promotes us in public. "You have been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things." (Matthew 25:21) And "He who is faithful in what is least is faithful also in much." (Luke 16:10) 5. Get back up fast. You will stumble. But a righteous person falls seven times and rises again (Proverbs 24:16). Don't let shame keep you down. Repent, receive His grace, and keep walking. Obedience is not a burden. It's the pathway to freedom. 5 Keys to Walking in Obedience

You've Been Fighting From The Wrong Position. Most believers fight spiritual battles like they're trying to get authority. They beg. They plead. They hope God will move. But that's not what Jesus taught. He didn't say "ask the enemy to leave." He said speak. He said command. He said the works He did, we would do also, and greater (John 14:12). The authority you need for the battle in front of you was already given to you at the cross. When Christ stripped principalities and powers, He didn't leave you unarmed. He left you seated with Him in heavenly places (Ephesians 2:6), far above every demonic assignment. "Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you." (Luke 10:19) Stop fighting for victory. Start fighting from victory. The enemy isn't waiting to see if God will back you up. He's waiting to see if you'll finally believe what God already said about you. Stand up. Speak up. Take your place. Blessings, Pastor Geary In God's Hands Ministries If this word is stirring something in you, come find me, link in bio, let's talk and pray through it together. You've Been Fighting From The Wrong Position

In my prayer time the other morning, I felt a prompting of the Holy Spirit to seek this from the Father. I asked God to teach me to love myself as He loves me, to forgive myself as He forgives me, and to accept myself as He accepts me. We, in our human form, are not capable of this on our own. Our beliefs about ourselves are often shaped by the world, our past experiences, failures, and even how we think others perceive us. But when we deepen our relationship with God, we can move forward into becoming who He created us to be. This understanding also frees us to be empowered by the Holy Spirit in truth and in power. What is hard for us to grasp through natural thinking is that God sees us through the eyes of His perfect love from the moment He formed us. As Psalm 139:13-14 reminds us, "For You formed my inward parts; You covered me in my mother's womb. I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are Your works, And that my soul knows very well." And if you are His, He still sees you that way today, even with all of your shortcomings. As Romans 5:8 states, "But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us." God's desire is for us to embrace the grace that allows us to see ourselves through His eyes, for we are indeed His workmanship, created for a purpose as expressed in Ephesians 2:10: "For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them." Together, let's remember that we love Him because He first loved us (1 John 4:19). Loved As He Loves

In my recent time of prayer, I was reminded of a powerful truth: we should not focus on our limitations or inabilities. Instead, we should keep our focus on God, for in the presence of God, the word "impossible" ceases to exist! As it says in Luke 1:37, "For with God nothing will be impossible." Our part is to simply believe, and God's part is to transform the impossible into the possible. When we stand firm in faith, mountains will move! Remember Matthew 17:20, where Jesus assures us that even faith as small as a mustard seed can accomplish wonders. We should trust in His limitless power and believe wholeheartedly, for as Jesus reminds us in Mark 9:23, "If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes." Keep believing! Nothing Is Impossible With God

"Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid." (John 14:27) One of the most powerful revelations that I've received is, there is strength and power in peace. We are geared to always be moving and doing. Even if we are following Christ, many times it is very difficult to remain still or at rest. Sometimes we find ourselves feeling guilty because we think we should be doing something. The problem with that type of thinking is, if we aren't careful we'll leave peace and begin to move into anxiousness (Philippians 4:6). We begin to entertain the lies of the enemy that say, I have to do something for God, or I need to find something to do to show my love for God. We must remember that even going and doing is in the Word, but there is also times, to stand still (Psalm 46:10), waiting (Isaiah 40:31), and resting (Psalm 37:7). When you are at peace, anxiousness cannot co-exist. When you find yourself at peace wherever you are, don't worry about doing anything, enjoy the peace. As I talked about in the beginning, it's not easy to rest, especially with everything going on in the world and in our personal life. Peace just doesn't happen naturally, and even praying for it in the storms of life doesn't mean you'll experience that peace. Being at peace is a process, and it is revealed to our spirit like walking by faith. We must practice to remain in a place of peace. It is much easier to hear from God when you are abiding in peace, than it is when you are attempting to make your own plans as to how you should serve God. When it's time for you to move and go, the same God that leads you into a place of peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7), is the same God that orders your steps (Psalm 119:133). Remain sensitive to the Holy Spirit. Don't do what you think you should do, and don't attempt to figure out what you should be doing on your own (Proverbs 3:5). In whatever you do, seek and follow peace, that way you can be assured that you are in the will of God (Philippians 4:7). Strength in Stillness

Have you ever sat before the Father in peace, but you feel that there is something you should be doing? Not because you feel led to do something, but actually it's because you may be uncomfortable not doing something. You keep thinking you should be doing something, and the more you dwell on it, the more you actually move from peace to anxiety, and the Word commands us not to be anxious ("Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God;" Philippians 4:6). When you are serving God, it's not all about the doing, sometimes there is a time of rest (Psalm 37:7), or being still (Psalm 46:10), or waiting (Psalm 27:14). Much of this time He wants you to spend time with Him with worship, prayer in His Word or just meditating. Many times we are too hard on ourselves, and we end up attempting to figure what we should be doing. Proverbs 3:5 TPT says, "Trust in the Lord completely, and do not rely on your own opinions. With all your heart rely on him to guide you, and he will lead you in every decision you make." How do we know we are where God wants us to be? It's by His peace that we experience. Look at Philippians 4:7, "and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus." We are to be in tune with the Holy Spirit, so that we can be led by the Holy Spirit. If we stay focused on the Father, looking and listening while we are waiting, then when it's time to move, He will open a door of opportunity. There will be times when you are led to go to a particular place. There are things that may take place as you go or when you arrive. You may be heading in one direction and you feel led to change course. Sometimes when you arrive at the place you are led to, you may experience a divine encounter with someone. Peace should always be an indicator that you are exactly where you're supposed to be at that moment in time. God will never contradict His Word by making you feel anxious to get up and do something. You don't have to make plans to go out and witness because you start to feel uncomfortable being at rest or in a time of waiting. God knows exactly where you are and the call on your life. The key is to desire God to order your steps ("Direct my steps by Your word, And let no iniquity have dominion over me." Psalm 119:133). Being At Peace Where You Are

Healing is promised throughout the Word. If you are a son or daughter of God, these promises belong to you. What and who you put your faith in will determine the outcome, and the Word of God supersedes any natural report. To me, if there's a problem with my health, I will go to a doctor. I know going in that most doctors aren't interested in me being healed, and to tell the truth, that's not in their hands anyway. Their answer is maintaining your illness and prescribing medication to help you maintain it. Most doctors (not all) will look at you through their finances, because your healing isn't a priority when you represent increase due to your illness. Also, I believe the majority of their training is all about the medication, which is another source of revenue. Now, why do I choose to go to doctors? There are a few reasons, and none of them diminish my faith in the least. The reason is basically threefold. They can diagnose a problem, and I know how to approach God in prayer, being specific and intentional about seeking healing (not how to maintain it), and I'm able to make the decision as to what to do based on the Word and my faith. The other thing is, I want to be a witness and a testimony to the medical community. To declare my faith in the promises of God, so they will see the results of my faith. And the third reason, you never know what opportunities are available to others in the waiting room. The bottom line is, if a doctor's diagnosis doesn't include the faith factor or the God factor, then I will seek the answer in God's Word. He promised to order my steps and direct my path. So whom will I trust? The doctors who were taught by other doctors, or the One Who is the creator of all things, including my body. If you are going through a health issue in your body, reach out to me and let me pray with you. The greatest attack on your faith is the lie of fear due to the unknown. Remember, God did not give us a spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and a sound mind (peace). I don't know who this is for, but it's time to lift up your head. I know it's tough, and you think no one understands what you're going through or dealing with. It doesn't matter what others know or think they know about your situation. The only thing that matters is, God not only knows and understands, but He's in it with you. Think about this: the Holy Spirit of God lives in you. All of the power and resources of God Himself are on the inside of you. There is nothing you will ever go through that can take you down or take you out. He doesn't want you to be someone who just carries the label of "Christian." You are so much more, you are a son or daughter of the Most High. You are marked and sealed by the Holy Spirit. You will never be conquered, but rather, you have been forged to be a weapon through the refiner's fire of adversity. You are the end time remnant, part of the chosen generation, and the royal priesthood. The giants of this life are no match for you. You are anointed to "go through," not to be subdued. Now rise up, armor up, stand up, and move forward. This is your destiny! I've been reflecting on a powerful truth in Scripture: as believers, we've been given the mind of Christ (1 Corinthians 2:16). It's a beautiful gift that allows us to see the world through His perspective! Just like a turbo charger enhances a car's engine, the mind of Christ works in harmony with our renewed minds. Romans 12:2 reminds us not to conform to the world, but to be transformed by the renewing of our minds. This transformation is essential for living out God's will in our lives! When our minds are renewed, we're empowered to act, speak, and respond like Yeshua. So let's commit to seeking this renewal every day, trusting that the Holy Spirit will guide us and help us embody God's love and wisdom in all we do. The Mind of Christ: A Turbo Charger for Your Faith

"Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest." (Matthew 11:28) "Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth." (Psalm 46:10) I want to encourage you today! In the midst of life's struggles and burdens, God's invitation to rest is a gentle call to find peace in His presence. Trusting in His Word and His authority can bring a calm assurance that surpasses understanding. Remember, you are never alone in your struggles. God's care is always near. In biblical times, rest wasn't just about stopping work. It was about trusting God's authority and His provision. Psalm 46:10 encourages us to cease striving and recognize God's power over all creation. True peace comes from surrendering our worries to Him. Jesus, in Matthew 11:28, offers a compassionate invitation to those burdened by life's struggles, promising rest for our souls. His words reveal His deep understanding of our weariness, and His desire to bring us relief through love and grace. For you, this is an invitation to let go of your struggles and trust God's care. When stress overwhelms, remember His authority and His promise to give rest. Resting in Him can renew your strength and fill your heart with peace. Ask yourself: - What burdens am I carrying that I need to surrender to God's care today? - How can I intentionally pause and acknowledge God's authority in my daily life? Take a moment to pause and pray, surrendering your struggles to God with trust. Find a quiet space to be still, and repeat Psalm 46:10 as a reminder to trust His authority. Rest in the Lord

Beloved, I want to share something that's carried me through my own seasons of pain and uncertainty, a list of healing scriptures I return to again and again. These aren't just words to read, they're truths to speak over your life, your body, and your circumstances. Say them out loud. Let them take root. Jesus is the Lord of my life. Sickness and disease have no power over me. I am forgiven and free from sin and guilt. I am dead to sin and alive to righteousness. (Colossians 1:21-22) Yeshua bore my sins in His body on the tree; therefore I am dead to sin and alive unto God, and by His stripes I am healed and made whole. (1 Peter 2:24; Romans 6:11; 2 Corinthians 5:21) Yeshua bore my sickness and carried my pain. Therefore I give no place to sickness or pain, for God sent His Word and healed me. (Psalms 107:20) No evil will befall me, neither shall any plague come near my dwelling, for You have given Your angels charge over me. They keep me in all my ways. In my pathway is life, healing, and health. (Psalms 91:10-11; Proverbs 12:28) Yeshua took my infirmities and bore my sicknesses. Therefore I refuse to allow sickness to dominate my body. The life of God flows within me, bringing healing to every fiber of my being. (Matthew 8:17; John 6:63) My body is the temple of the Holy Spirit. I make a demand on my body to release the right chemicals. My body is in perfect chemical balance. (1 Corinthians 6:19) Growths and tumors have no right to my body. They are a thing of the past, for I am delivered from the authority of darkness. (Colossians 1:13-14) Every organ and tissue of my body functions in the perfection God created it to function. I forbid any malfunction in my body in Yeshua's name. (Genesis 1:28,31) Your Word is manifest in my body, causing growths to disappear. Arthritis is a thing of the past. I make a demand on my bones and joints to function properly in Yeshua's name. (Mark 11:23; Matthew 17:20) Thank You, Father, that I have a strong heart. My heart beats with the rhythm of life, carrying it throughout my body, restoring life and health abundantly. (Proverbs 12:14; 14:30; John 17:23; Ephesians 2:22) I command my blood cells to destroy every disease, germ, and virus that tries to inhabit my body. I command every cell of my body to be normal in Yeshua's name. (Romans 5:17; Luke 17:6) I make a demand on my joints to function perfectly, free from pain or swelling. (Proverbs 17:22) You have forgiven all my iniquities, healed all my diseases, and redeemed my life from destruction. My youth is renewed like the eagle's. (Psalms 103:2-5) You have given me abundant life, flowing to every organ of my body, bringing healing and health. (John 10:10; John 6:63) I am redeemed from the curse, and healing flows in my bloodstream to every cell, restoring life and health. My affliction will leave and not come back again. (Galatians 3:13; Mark 11:23; Luke 17:6; Nahum 1:9) Friend, speak these over yourself daily. Your body was never meant to carry sickness alone, healing belongs to you in Christ. If you're walking through a health battle right now and need someone to stand in agreement with you, reach out. I'd be honored to pray with you.
