Hairstylist, entrepreneur, deep thinker & unapologetic work in progress. Building a life that feels as good as it looks.

Okay, let me just say it plainly. My books are open. I'm Michael. I've been behind the chair since 2010, which means I've got more than fifteen years of cutting hair, and I'm still a work in progress. Ask anyone who knows me. But the hair part? That I know. I'm starting a fresh chapter at The Capital Salon & Suites in Fayetteville, Arkansas, and honestly, it feels good. I'm here with a new friend, Mika, and the energy is exactly what I've been looking for. A place where I can do my work, do it well, and meet people who want to look and feel like themselves, only better. So who am I as a stylist? Let me tell you what I love. I love a sleek bob. The kind with clean lines and a shape that swings when you move. I love a textured crop, the kind that looks effortless but is built on a lot of careful thinking. I love a clean, modern fade. I love precision cuts, where every angle is intentional. And I love a lived-in layer, the kind that looks like you just woke up that way, even though we both know it took skill. I also love working with gray hair. Gray is not a problem to hide. Done right, it's an elevated look, and I'll help you make it look polished and confident, not tired or accidental. And yes, I do classic roller sets too. Sometimes the old ways are the best ways. If you're closer to Fort Smith, I hold special Tuesday sessions there, so you don't always have to make the drive to Fayetteville. Now, what can you expect when you sit down with me? A real conversation first. I want to hear what you want, what you hate, and what you're nervous about. Then I'm going to give you a precise cut. Not a cut that looks great for three days and then falls apart. A cut that grows out well. That's my promise. When it starts to grow, it should still look like it belongs on you, not like a mistake you're waiting out. I'll be honest, I'm not going to talk you into something that doesn't fit your hair or your life. I'd rather tell you the truth and give you a style you'll actually love on a Wednesday morning when you're running late, not just in the mirror right after. I've spent a lot of years learning this craft, and a lot of years learning myself, and both of those lessons show up in my work. I care about the people who sit in my chair. It's not a sales pitch. It's just how I do it. So if you've been thinking about a fresh start, a new shape, or just someone who'll actually listen and get it right, I'd love to be that person. Here's how to book. Use The Capital Salon & Suites online booking link and pick a time that works for you. Or just message me directly and I'll send the link your way. Either way, my books are open, and I'd love to see you in my chair. Let's create your next look together.
